To move your mail ID with all associated data using Thunderbird, please proceed as follows:

1. open Thunderbird and add your @uni-landau.de account. You can find instructions on how to do this above.

The easiest way to move your emails is to drag and drop them. This procedure is particularly useful if you have already sorted your emails into folders.

2a) Then select the individual folders together in the menu on the left by clicking on the first folder, holding down Shift (leftmost arrow key above Ctrl) and selecting the last folder you want to move. All folders should now be selected.

Click on them again, hold them down and drag them to your new inbox. The folders are now copied.

If you want to copy mails from the inbox directly to the new inbox, the following applies:

2b) Select your old inbox and click on any mail. Now press Ctrl+A (hold down Ctrl and then press A). All your mails are now selected. Drag and drop the mails into the new inbox. They will now be copied there.

2c) Alternatively, after you have selected the mails, you can conveniently move the mails to the desired folder by right-clicking in the context menu via "Move to".
