Mail - Filter spam messages from the inbox


Incoming messages are subject to spam detection. This does not filter any messages, but only marks them for further processing. This allows you to decide for yourself what to do with such e-mails. Incoming spam messages can, for example, be automatically moved from the inbox or deleted.

Set up a spam filter:

1.call up the URL https://sogo.uni-landau.de.
2.enter the following input data and start the login process by clicking on the "Login" button.

User name: your URZ user ID
Password: the password you have entered

3.click on the "Settings" button.

4)Navigate to the "E-mail" > "Filter" page via the menu.

5.click on the "Create filter" button to set up a new filter.

6Enter the following input:

Filter name: "Spam Filter"
For incoming messages: "match all of the following rules"
"Header" - "X-Spam-Flag" - "is" - "YES"
Perform the following action: "Move the message to" - "Junk" OR "Discard the message

7.finish setting up the filter by clicking on the "OK" button.
8.select the filter you have just set up and save the settings by clicking on the"Save" button.
