All students and staff have been given an RPTU account. All information about the RPTU account (formerly RHRK account) can be found here.

New URZ accounts will no longer be created from 05/2024, only personal URZ accounts will be extended. Functional accounts will only be extended in exceptional cases.

These applications apply exclusively to Landau URZ accounts - new RPTU accounts must be applied for & managed separately here!

With the help of the URZ profile management (Identity Management), the master data of your old Landau ID (ending @uni-landau.de) can be viewed and managed.

In addition to the general information, you can view your storage space on the e-mail server here. Profile management also allows you to manage groups and their members.

The URZ user ID has been replaced by the RPTU account.

The URZ user ID was issued for teaching and research purposes and is a prerequisite for using the remaining services offered by the University Computer Center in Landau. This ID enabled the use of other IT services such as Klips, OLAT and UniCMS.

We carry out automated inventories of computer IDs at regular intervals. The validity of a user ID is confirmed on the basis of current information from the personnel and student administration.


Students received a user ID and e-mail address from the date of enrolment in order to use them for the purposes of their studies. The user ID consisted of a user name and a password (for students, the first four letters of their surname and four numbers). When you received your matriculation number, you were able to create your user ID. All you had to do was click on"Register here" in the Register section on the idm.uni-landau.de website. If you leave the university, you will be informed by email that the ID, email address and associated data will be deleted 6 months after you leave the university.

Please note that students will no longer be assigned a URZ account from the winter semester 2023/24.


Staff and employees can obtain the application for the user ID here. People who are hired at the university will receive a user ID and an e-mail address from the start of employment (upon application) to use for research and teaching purposes. The user ID and e-mail address remain valid for as long as the employment relationship with the university lasts. 6 months before leaving the university, the persons concerned will be informed by e-mail that the ID, e-mail address and data will be deleted on the day they leave the university.

Please note that from now on no new URZ accounts will be issued without technical justification!


University members who have left the university for reasons of age can continue to use their ID and e-mail address after retirement or pension, provided they are individually renewed once a year.


Persons who are not employed at the university, such as lecturers, scholarship holders or external doctoral students, will receive a user ID and e-mail address for research and/or teaching purposes for an appropriate limited period of time if the head of an institute or project at the university approves this, stating the end of use.

Students will be informed by email that their ID, email address and associated data will be deleted 6 months after leaving the university (de-registration). During these 6 months, the URZ services (mail, cloud, printing, ...) can be used unchanged, e.g. to copy all data for the time after your studies or to move your e-mails to another provider. Access to KLIPS will be blocked when de-registration takes effect!


Employees will be informed by e-mail for the first time 6 months before leaving the university that their personal ID and all associated data will be deleted on the day they leave the university. Access to KLIPS will be deactivated after 90 days at the latest (if the end of the contract is before the end of the validity of your ID).


Members of the university who have left the university for reasons of age can still use their ID and e-mail address after retirement or pension, provided they are individually renewed once a year.


All students, employees and pensioners will be informed several times about the upcoming deletion of their ID! You can view the current validity date in the IDM under the "User ID" tab.
