Mail - Configure incoming and outgoing mail in Thunderbird

Note:
These instructions only apply to Landau identifiers!


To set up an email account in Thunderbird, proceed as follows:

1. "Settings" --> "Account settings"
2. At the bottom left you will now find the "Account actions"; select "Add email account" from
3. Enter your name, the e-mail address and the corresponding password and confirm this entry with the "Enter" button
4. Select "IMAP" and click on "Edit manually"
5. Enter the server, port and the settings for SSL and authentication as shown in the following image:

6. confirm your entry by clicking on the "Done" button. You can now receive and send emails in Thunderbird.
