Remote maintenance

Note:
These instructions only apply to Landau identifiers!


Remote desktop session via RescueAssist:

 

1. click on the following link to the remote maintenance portal: LINK

Alternatively, go to the "FastSupport.com" page.

2. please enter your surname, you will receive an individual support key from one of our employees. As soon as you have received this, click on "Next"

3. immediately after the first connection is established, you will be asked to download an application - this is required for remote access. Click on "Download application".

4. save the "RescueAssist.exe" file. This is usually stored in the Downloads folder.

5. in Firefox: When the file has been downloaded, a blue arrow pointing downwards appears in the top right-hand corner. Click on this to open the following window.

6. double-click on the "RescueAssist" file. Alternatively, you can also double-click on the file in the "Download" folder.

You should now be connected to a support employee!

 

To end the session:

As a rule, the employee will disconnect the connection themselves, if this is not possible due to technical difficulties, you can do this yourself.

To do this, open the "LogMeIn Remote Support" app and click on "End Session". Once the session has ended, the employee can no longer control your PC themselves or view the screen content.

 

Grant administration access:

In order to install or change certain programs, the support employee may need administrative rights on your PC. In this case, an applet (= mini program) is started remotely. You will then receive the following message, which you should confirm with "Yes".
